Last november John Day delivered a virtual keynote at one of the IEEE VTC2020-Fall Workshops: the New Network Architecture Powering the Internet of Things Workshop. The goal of the workshop was to discuss the latest advancement and developments in new network architecture for forward-looking scenarios including, but not limted to, IoT, SDN/NFV, terrestrial-satellite network, cyber-physical communications and user-defined networking.
John delivered a presentation discussing the flaws of the current mainstream networking paradaigm, introducing RINA, and discussing its advantadges in IoT-centric scenarios.
